Job summary

Carter Lumber in West Virginia is hiring a Yard Associate to help contractors and DIY customers with order selection, loading, and loading of materials on the yard. You will pull and stage items for pickup or delivery and keep the yard organized.

You will operate a forklift after training and certification, enjoy a hands-on outdoor role, and be part of a team that values honesty, hard work, and people-first service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience.
• Friendly personality.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Ability to work outside in all conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with order selection and loading.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup and delivery.
• Maintain inventory by cycle counts and keep the yard organized and clean.

Description:
You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
