Job summary

Carter Lumber (Holmes Lumber division) is seeking a yard associate to assist contractors and do-it-yourself customers with selection and loading, pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery, and help maintain the yard inventory and cleanliness.

You will work outdoors in all weather, operate a forklift (training provided), and be part of a team that values reliability and strong customer service. Growth opportunities exist within the company.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Friendly personality and team player.
• Able to work outdoors in all conditions.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIY customers with selection and loading.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain yard inventory with cycle counts.
• Keep yard organized and clean.
• Operate forklift (training provided if needed).

Description:
You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
