Job summary

Carter Lumber in Sunbury, OH is seeking a Yard Associate to assist contractors and DIY customers with selecting and loading orders, pulling and staging materials, and keeping the yard organized. Training on forklift operation will be provided and certification supported.

You should be able to work well in a team, enjoy working outdoors in all conditions, and bring friendly customer service. Prior building material knowledge is helpful, and full-time benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Friendly personality and ability to work with others.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Ability to work outdoors in all conditions.
• Willingness to learn forklift operation and pursue certification.

Description

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if you haven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
