Job summary

Holmes Lumber (a division of Carter Lumber) in Ohio is seeking team-minded individuals to join our yard crew. You will assist contractors and DIY customers with selecting and loading orders, pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery, and help keep the yard organized and safe.

On-site training for forklift operation is provided, and you’ll gain hands-on experience in inventory control and customer service while working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Friendly personality and team player.
• Familiarity with building materials helpful.
• Ability to work outside in all conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIY customers with selection and loading of orders.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain yard inventory with cycle counts.
• Keep yard organized and clean; operate forklift with training provided.

Description

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if you haven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
