Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking a Yard Associate to support daily yard and warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, and organizing materials, while upholding safety and delivering excellent customer service.

You will move, stock, and verify orders, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace. This role requires lifting up to 75 pounds, reading and communicating in English, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish may be required based on location-specific needs.
• Able to pass background and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Move, stock, and organize products in the yard and warehouse to keep inventory accurate and easy to find.
• Load and unload materials from customer and company vehicles safely and efficiently.

• Check and verify orders, complete shipping and receiving paperwork, and meet delivery deadlines.

Position Purpose

The Yard Associate for Heritage Family of Companies is responsible for supporting daily yard and warehouse operations, including material receiving, stocking, and organization, while adhering to safety standards and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Move, stock, and organize products in the yard and warehouse to keep inventory accurate and easy to find.
• Load and unload materials from customer and company vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment while following all safety rules.
• Keep the yard and warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
• Must follow all safety guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and using proper lifting techniques.
• Check and verify orders, complete shipping and receiving paperwork, and work with team members to meet delivery deadlines.
• Assist with other warehouse or yard tasks as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability and to lift and handle freight/materials up to 75 pounds continuously throughout the workday.
• Ability to move heavy products in busy warehouses and/or outdoor yards, using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, and involves active physical work.

Working Conditions

• Work performed in an outdoor setting/warehouse environment in conditions like noise, hot or cold temperatures
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
