Job summary

Heritage Family of Companies in Doraville, GA is seeking a Yard Associate to support daily yard and warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, and organizing materials while maintaining safety and delivering customer service.

The role requires experience operating skid steers, lifting up to 75 pounds, and following PPE guidelines. Reporting to Human Resources, you will help meet delivery deadlines and keep the yard safe and orderly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating skid steer is required.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds throughout the shift.
• Read, write, and communicate in English; bilingual Spanish may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Move, stock, and organize products to maintain accurate inventory.
• Load and unload materials from vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Operate skid steer, forklift, and pallet jacks in a safe manner.
• Keep yard/warehouse clean and hazard-free.
• Follow PPE and lifting techniques as required.

Job description

The Yard Associate for Heritage Family of Companies is responsible for supporting daily yard and warehouse operations, including material receiving, stocking, and organization, while adhering to safety standards and providing excellent customer service.

Experience operating skid steer.

Key Responsibilities

• Move, stock, and organize products in the yard and warehouse to keep inventory accurate and easy to find.
• Load and unload materials from customer and company vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Operate skid steers, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment while following all safety rules.
• Keep the yard and warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
• Must follow all safety guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and using proper lifting techniques.
• Check and verify orders, complete shipping and receiving paperwork, and work with team members to meet delivery deadlines.
• Assist with other warehouse or yard tasks as needed.
• Experience operating skid steer.

Physical Requirements

• Ability and to lift and handle freight/materials up to 75 pounds continuously throughout the workday.
• Ability to move heavy products in busy warehouses and/or outdoor yards, using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, and involves active physical work.
• Able to pass background and drug screening.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to lift and handle freight/materials up to 75 pounds throughout the workday.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English to perform the essential job functions. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish may be required based on location‑specific business needs.
• Experience operating skid steer.
• Prior experience in hands‑on, outdoor/indoor yard/warehouse, operational work or similar environment.

Minimum Education

• High school diploma or equivalent to both education and experinece.
• Experience operating skid steer.
