Job summary

P & R Building Supplies Limited in Louisiana are seeking a Yard Operative to join our busy branch team. You will be the first point of contact for customers arriving at the branch and help ensure deliveries and goods are handled promptly and safely.

You will assist with unloading and loading deliveries using a forklift, receive and check deliveries, keep the yard tidy, and uphold health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a positive attitude and good customer service.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Able to work in a team or independently.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience in builders' merchant environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for customers at the branch.
• Serve customers promptly and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Assist with unloading/loading deliveries using a forklift.
• Receive and check incoming deliveries.
• Keep the yard tidy and health & safety adhered to at all times.
• Undertake tasks as requested by Branch Manager.
