Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Up to 6 months experience in package handling or switching preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between yard and doors (hooking/swapping).
• Coordinate trailer movements with management or central control.
• Document trailer moves in Yard Management System or on switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Assist with loading and unloading packages onto vehicles or conveyors.
• Sort packages using labels, numbers, and charts; operate conveyor-related equipment.
