Job summary

Estes Express is seeking a dockworker to safely handle tractor/trailers and equipment for loading and unloading in the yard. The role involves pre/post-shift inspections and securing freight to prevent movement during transit.

Responsibilities include using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, ensuring tilt-bar clearance, and maintaining high safety and teamwork standards in outdoor conditions. Prior loading experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 17+ years old.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must have a valid CDL and acceptable MVR if driving on public roads (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and maneuver tractor/trailers and other large equipment to facilitate loading/unloading in the yard.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of yard and dock equipment.
• Cube, load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Block, brace and secure freight to prevent movement during transit.
• Set up and break down trailers and hook safely.
• Load trailers to ensure proper tilt bar clearance before loading.
