Job summary

Estes Express is seeking dock personnel to load/unload freight safely using forklift, pallet jack, or by hand at the service center. You will strap, brace, and pad freight to prevent damage and accurately record freight conditions upon arrival. Pre/post-shift inspections of dock equipment are required, and regular attendance is essential.

Qualifications

Must be 17+ years of age.
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
Experience in transportation industry preferred.
Prior forklift operation or certification preferred.
Able to push/pull a 70 lb pallet jack/hand truck.
Able to lift approximately 70 lbs.
Must be able to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Properly load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
Record the condition of freight as it arrives at the service center.
Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment.
Regular attendance is required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
