Job summary

GEODIS in Keasbey, NJ is seeking a Yard Supervisor to oversee GEODIS trailer yards in accordance with contractual regulations and safety standards. You will supervise yard clerks, coordinate staffing across yards, ensure equipment is available and maintained, and prepare accurate yard inventory reports for customers and carriers.

Strong communication, planning and Excel skills are essential to excel in this role, with a focus on safety and operational efficiency across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with building and manipulating spreadsheets and reporting.
• Excellent written and oral communication and ability to develop relationships with customers.
• PC literate with MS Outlook, Word, Access and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and coordination of yard clerks and yard hostlers.
• Scheduling of personnel at various yards.
• Ensure equipment is available and in working order with operations and safety.
• Maintain yard inventory reports by customer and carrier.
• Ensure timely maintenance of location equipment and safety compliance.
• Train and supervise new hires and implement best practices.
