Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a Yard Supervisor in Solomon, KS to oversee daily yard operations, coordinate receipt, storage and movement of materials, and maintain accurate inventory. You will lead the yard team, promote safety, and ensure processes are followed to achieve timely, accurate order fulfillment.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, inventory control, and communication skills, with a background in manufacturing and safety best practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
• WMS experience preferred.
• OSHA10 certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma preferred.
• A proven track record in safety excellence is required.
• Adheres to all safety and environmental regulations and notifies management of hazards.
• Ability to interpret work orders and ensure the team has what they need to succeed.
• Meet department and production goals set by manager.
• Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the receipt, storage, organization, and movement of materials and equipment; verify deliveries against PO and docs.
• Oversee routine cycle counts and bi-annual physical inventory counts.
• Safely load and unload trucks using RF scanners to track and fulfill orders.
• Maintain accurate tracking of shipments and inventory movements using spreadsheets and systems.
• Provide training and cross-training to employees to support team development.
• Ensure safety remains a top priority and SOPs are followed.
