Job summary

Archway is seeking a Yard Supervisor to coordinate and track trailer movements, supervise yard personnel, and ensure safe, efficient yard operations. You will work closely with drivers and use vehicle management technology to maintain accurate disposition records and support asset management.

Your role emphasizes safety, organization, and process optimization to sustain high-performing cross-dock operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in yard supervision or related warehouse ops.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations in logistics environments.
• Familiarity with vehicle management software and tracking tech.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with high accuracy.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to operate an Electric Pallet Jack Truck.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily yard activities including trailer movement and staging with safety compliance.
• Supervise yard workers to ensure efficient handling and coordination.
• Use vehicle management software to monitor trailer disposition in real time and update records.
• Maintain accurate inventory of trailers and equipment, reconciling with system records.
• Coordinate with drivers for unloading/loading and proper documentation.
• Track trailer movement data to support inventory management and analytics.
• Enforce safety protocols and promote a safety-first culture.
• Collaborate with operations, drivers and management to resolve yard issues and improve throughput.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections and environment assessments.
