Job summary

Archway is seeking a Yard Supervisor to coordinate and track trailer movements in the yard, ensuring safety and efficiency across cross-dock operations. You will supervise yard personnel and coordinate with drivers to manage trailer flow, using vehicle management technology to keep precise records of disposition and locations.

The role emphasizes safety, organization, and process optimization, with responsibility for asset management and real-time data reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising yard operations and coordinating trailer flow.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations in logistics/yard environments.
• Familiarity with vehicle management software and tracking tech.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
• Proficient computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to operate an Electric Pallet Jack Truck.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily yard activities, including trailer movement, staging, and positioning.
• Supervise yard workers to enable efficient trailer handling and coordination.
• Use vehicle management software to monitor trailer disposition in real time.
• Maintain accurate inventory of trailers and equipment with system reconciliation.
• Coordinate with drivers to ensure smooth unloading/loading and staging.
• Record trailer movement data for inventory and analytics.
• Enforce safety protocols and promote a safety-first culture.
• Collaborate with operations to resolve yard issues and improve throughput.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections and environment assessments.
