Job summary

Sterling Site Access Solutions is seeking a Yard Foreman in Ithaca, MI to oversee day-to-day yard operations, manage equipment and materials, and ensure safe handling of construction mats.

You will lead a team, coordinate inbound/outbound flows, perform inspections, and maintain high service levels for internal teams and external customers.

Experience with wheel loader and forklift is required; excavator a plus; the role offers full-time hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience operating yard equipment and performing material handling.
• Ability to manage inbound/outbound mat yard flow and safety.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily activities of mat yard resources and equipment.
• Oversee receiving, shipping, sorting, cleaning, stickering and repair of construction mats.
• Manage inbound and outbound flow of trucks, bills of lading, and daily safety meetings.
• Operate a wheel loader and skid steer; excavator is a plus.
• Ensure day-to-day management of mat yards inbound/outbound flow and equipment inspections.
• Provide high level of service to internal departments and external customers.
