Job summary

Alta Equipment Group is hiring a Yard Specialist for our New Hudson, MI location. The role focuses on traffic paperwork, equipment movement photography, inspections, and yard organization in a fast-paced setting with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Ideal candidates will have experience with heavy equipment, familiarity with small engine maintenance, and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook. The position is full-time, with benefits and union support as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Must have good customer relation skills.
• Knowledge of construction equipment.
• Experience operating heavy equipment is required.
• Knowledge of small engine maintenance and repair is preferred.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with a friendly and professional personality.
• Computer programs - Microsoft Outlook and basic computer skill.

Responsibilities

• Process equipment traffic paperwork accurately.
• Take photos of equipment movement in/out of the facility.
• Conduct visual inspections of machines for check in/out.
• Verify operator manuals and safety equipment.
• Organize the yard and maintain exterior cleanliness.
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain consistent, reliable attendance and be ready for start time.
