Job summary

Tomball Controls, LLC is seeking a Yard Person to maintain an orderly outdoor storage yard and support overall site operations. You will manage inventory locations, assist with receiving shipments, and ensure proper storage and labeling of materials.

Daily duties include safe operation of forklifts and yard equipment, adherence to PPE and safety protocols, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds while working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year forklift experience is required.
• Knowledge of yard maintenance techniques and equipment operation.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the yard and track inventory locations.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, gantry cranes, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
• Perform inventory management and regular checks of stock levels.
• Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming shipments.
• Ensure items are stored and organized on racks, pallets, and containers.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE; adhere to safety guidelines.
