Job summary

Mobile Modular Portable Storage is seeking a General Construction Inventory Laborer to manage yard inventory, operate a forklift, and perform ongoing maintenance and basic repairs on containers. The role involves organizing the yard by type and size, supporting field service calls, and maintaining accurate logs and reports throughout each shift.

The position requires hands-on mechanics, welding and electrical basics, and the ability to work independently in varied weather conditions, with safety

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a construction yard or similar environment.
• Basic computer experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to repair containers, trailers, and similar assets.
• Experience in yard paperwork, inventory control, basic carpentry and electrical skills.
• Ability to work independently and reliably.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain forklift In/Out Logs and move inventory.
• Organize yard by product type and size; ensure repair status is up to date.
• Clean, paint and perform basic repairs on containers.
• Perform light welding, electrical work, and use of power tools.
• Prepare inventory for yard and report progress between management and teams.
• Inspect and maintain inventory; control quantities of all types.
• Perform basic AC service for office/units, including filter changes and coil cleaning.
• Support on-site field service calls and ensure proper material inventory levels.
• Ensure assets leaving yard are quality checked and documented.
• Receive/load assets with third party vendors; report activities to Ops Coordinator.
