Crane Cartage is seeking a Warehouse Operative to maintain an orderly storage yard and operate a yard truck safely within a plant environment in Lockbourne, OH. This full-time, on-site position supports daily logistics activities and requires adherence to safety protocols.

The role emphasizes yard duties, basic math for weights and logs, and clear communication with dispatch and plant staff. CDL may be required in some areas; on-site duties may include handling trailers and dock-related tasks.

Qualifications

• Yard maintenance or forklift experience.
• High School diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a neat and orderly storage lot oriented toward maximizing efficiency.
• Operates Yard Truck in a safe manner during roll-on/roll-off procedures.
• Drives and operates vehicle under 15 mph in plant areas.
• Assist with docking.
• Inspect containers as necessary.
• Account for trailer numbers, weights on the scale log sheet.
• Interact with plant personnel and comply with safety requirements.
• Communicate with dispatch and plant personnel.
• Maintain security of valuable commodities as directed.
