Job summary

HP Hood is seeking a Yard Jockey to support warehouse and distribution of dairy products, aligning with our safety standards and efficiency goals. The role focuses on yard operations, trailer prep, inventory in SAP YL and Excel, and coordinating with drivers and planners to keep shipments moving smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, a valid driver license, and hands-on experience with SAP YL and Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license required.
• Proficiency in Excel, SAP YL, and Word preferred.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English; basic math and weights knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Move and operate yard equipment per HP Hood safety guidelines.
• Daily equipment inspection and safety reporting.
• Check functionality of incoming/outgoing trailers.
• Update inventories in SAP YL and Excel.
• Communicate inventories with yard coordinators and planners.
• Provide direction to drivers on yard activities.
• Record trailer movements in SAP YL.
• Prepare trailers for loading and dispatching.
• Coordinate loading/unloading with warehouse teams.
• Maintain reefer trailer temperature reports.
