Job summary

TAL Building Centers is seeking a Yard Associate to assist customers with yard material and manage loading, unloading, and stocking at our Pacific Northwest locations. The role emphasizes safety and accuracy in handling materials and coordinating with the yard and sales teams.

Responsibilities include loading materials for customers, verifying invoices, and contributing to a safe work environment. Onsite position with potential forklift operation training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not necessary.
• 1-3 months experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, determine level of assistance and guide to materials.
• Coordinate with sales and yard teams for prompt service.
• Assist customers in loading and unloading materials.
• Verify loaded materials match paid invoice quantities.
• May pull loads for delivery and secure them for transport.
• Develop knowledge of material locations and uses to assist customers.
• Embrace TAL’s core values in all interactions.
• Safely operate forklifts and light trucks after training and certification.
• Report unsafe conditions or damage immediately.
• May use a radial arm saw to cut materials for customers.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
