Job summary

TAL Building Centers is seeking a yard associate at our Vancouver, WA store to assist customers with yard materials, load and unload, and stock materials in the lumber yard and warehouse. This on-site role emphasizes safety and accuracy in handling customer loads.

You will work with the team to ensure prompt service, while developing knowledge of materials and locations. Forklift operation may be involved after training and certification, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job.
• 1-3 months experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with yard material and loading/unloading.
• Load, unload and stock materials in the lumber yard and in the warehouse.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• May use a radial arm and panel saw to cut materials for customers.
• May pull loads for delivery and bundle safely for delivery on our trucks.
