Job summary

Quality Wash Solutions is hiring a Yard Mule Operator in Houston, TX to safely maneuver trailers in the tank wash yard and park them efficiently. You will perform pre-shift PMs and ensure organized trailer flow through wash bays.

The role requires 6–12 months of Yard Mule experience, a valid license, and strong communication. Schedule is Monday–Friday with potential overtime, plus competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6–12 months experience operating a Yard Mule.
• 3+ years experience pulling/backing large utility trailers (15–50 ft).
• Valid driver license required.
• Excellent communication skills in a high-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate.
• Willing to stay over or come in early to cover shifts.
• Safety training and Yard Spotter evaluation upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver trailers on the Tank wash yard and park them efficiently.
• Perform a PM on the yard mule before shift starts.
• Pull clean and dirty trailers in and out of wash bays.

• Take on additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Summary

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform a PM on the yard mule before shift begins.
• Pull clean and dirty trailers in and out of the wash bays.
• Maintaining organized trailer placement in the yard.
• Perform other related duties requested by the supervisor on shift.
• Must be willing to stay over or come in early to cover other drivers on shift if absent.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid Driver License required.
• Ability to prioritize task and delegate them when appropriate.
• Ability to function well in a high paced and at times stressful environment.
• Must have 6 to 12 months experience in operating a Yard Mule.
• Upon hiring you will need to take a safety training driving course followed by a Yard Spotter evaluation.
• Must have 3 yrs or more experience pulling and backing up large utility trailers, open flatbeds, ranging in lengths 15ft, 20ft, 50ft.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 6 to 12 months experience in operating a Yard Mule.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Additional Job Information

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours depend on location.

Work Environment:

• The shop has a climate similar to outdoor weather. Frequent exposure to loud machinery, air tool operation, hammering and engine noise.
