Quality Wash Solutions (QWS) in Houston, TX is seeking a motivated Yard Mule Operator to safely maneuver trailers within the wash yard and park them efficiently.

You'll perform pre-shift PMs, manage trailer placement, back up and position large trailers, and support drivers across shifts. The role offers weekly pay, competitive benefits, and opportunities for growth in a growing company with multiple locations.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months Yard Mule operation experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver License required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organized trailer placement in the yard.
• Assist supervisor with other duties as needed.
• Be willing to stay over or cover shifts as needed.

Job Summary

The employee will be responsible for safely maneuvering trailers on the Tank wash yard and parking them efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform a PM on the yard mule before shift begins.
• Pull clean and dirty trailers in and out of the wash bays.
• Maintaining organized trailer placement in the yard.
• Perform other related duties requested by the supervisor on shift.
• Must be willing to stay over or come in early to cover other drivers on shift if absent.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities:

• Valid Driver License required.
• Ability to prioritize task and delegate them when appropriate.
• Ability to function well in a high paced and at times stressful environment.
• Must have 6 to 12 months experience in operating a Yard Mule.
• Upon hiring you will need to take a safety training driving course followed by a Yard Spotter evaluation.
• Must have 3 yrs or more experience pulling and backing up large utility trailers, open flatbeds, ranging in lengths 15ft, 20ft, 50ft.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 6 to 12 months experience in operating a Yard Mule.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Additional Job Information

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours depend on location.

Company Information

• The shop has a climate similar to outdoor weather. Frequent exposure to loud machinery, air tool operation, hammering and engine noise.

• Able to fit into a 20" cargo trailer dome opening.
• Able to meet safety standards for fall protection harness - max weight 310 lbs (includes all PPE worn).

• Stand for long periods of time.
• Walk for long periods of time.
• Bend or twist their body.
• See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
