Job summary

Accredo Packaging, Inc. is seeking a dependable driver to safely pickup and deliver inventory between warehouses using the yard mule and trailers. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, use a handheld scanner, and communicate with warehouse leads via radios.

Ideal candidates have at least 5 years of yard mule driving experience, a CDL with a clean record, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL is required with a good driving record.
• Must have a driver’s license and CDL; previous yard mule driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely pickup and deliver inventory between warehouses using yard mule, trailers and other heavy equipment.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections; use handheld scanner and radios.
• Chock trailers, attach/detach trailers, and manage the activity log.
• Maintain warehouse quality; track damaged inventory and report issues to Supervisor.
• Work flexible hours, including weekends and nights as needed.

Hourly Rate: $23.00

• Must have a driver’s license, CDL required along with good driving record*

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Safely Pickup and deliver inventory from warehouse to warehouse utilizing the company's yard mule, trailers and other heavy equipment.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and use a handheld scanner.
• Communicate with Warehouse leads and management using handheld radios
• Ability to use a forklift should the demands of the business require
• Sign/date/completely fill out and maintain the required Driver Activity Log
• Maintain quality in the warehouse, keep track of all damaged inventory, and report quality issues to the Supervisor notating the Activity Log.
• Report immediately to management any issues with Mule Tractor or trailers.
• Follow material flow requirements for the plant.
• Able to efficiently carry out all orders of the Supervisors.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Chock trailers and use trailer jacks
• Clean out trailers and Mule tractor
• Clean around loading docks inside and out
• Must Comply with all company policies
• Must move Tandems on the trailers as needed

The Ideal Candidate Shall Possess The Following

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous yard mule experience in a fast-paced environment with at least 5 years of driving experience
• Must have a driver’s license, CDL required along with good driving record.
• Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations.
• Strong teamwork skills required
• Ability to lift 25lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
• Ability to read numbers and labels understand verbal and written instructions, effectively communicate in writing and verbally to observe safety precautions.
• Ability to use hands to touch, handle and feel, and to reach with hands and arms.
• Able to work irregular or extended hours, including weekends and nights as needed.
• Able to step on and off the Mule Tractor repeatedly for every move.
• Able to attach and detach trailers at assigned docks repeatedly.
• Must be flexible and willing to work to the demands of the department which are subject to evenings, weekends and Holidays.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of the job the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. Noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
