Job summary

Responsibilities

• Monitors loading dock schedules and updates yard personnel when changes occur.
• Shuttles paperwork between the office and the yard drivers.
• Monitors interior trailer temperatures and refrigeration unit fuel levels and reports discrepancies.
• Inspects trailers for cleanliness and removes debris left in trailer.
• Reports observed trailer damage or broken equipment.
• Maintains yard cleanliness by picking up and disposing of trash.
• Accurately complete work completion reports and equipment damage reports as required.

• Such other duties about the trailer yard as may be assigned.
• Maintain a professional and cooperative demeanor with customer representatives at all times.

QualificationsMust read and write in English. High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Ability to safely and accurately work under tight time constraints
• Ability to communicate clearly and understand instructions received via two-way radio.
• Strong commitment to team work and customer service.

Exerts up to 50 lbs. of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Job involves walking, standing and frequent climbing on and about trailers. Must have ability to safely climb stairs, ladders, and equipment footholds. Works outside in all weather conditions. Must possess ability to work nights and weekends where required
