Job summary

United States Cold Storage, Inc. is seeking a dedicated yard operations associate in Syracuse, UT.

You will move equipment around the lot, operate a yard spotting truck, and place trailers in and out of doors, ensuring accurate locations in the yard management system. Responsibilities include temperature and fuel level checks, sanitation, and collaboration with shipping/receiving and the welcome center to keep trailers in correct locations and refer status.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Prior yard spotting truck driving experience preferred.
• Ability to operate scanners, tablets, radios and yard management software.

Responsibilities

• Move equipment throughout the lot and communicate with relevant departments while updating the yard management system.
• Operate a yard spotting truck.
• Place trailers in and out of doors and ensure correct location in the system.
• Verify trailers are identified in the yard management system and at the right location.
• Complete temperature and fuel level checks on trailers.
• Uphold sanitation standards and report issues as needed.
• Collaborate with shipping/receiving and welcome center teams to ensure trailers are in correct locations and refer status.
• Demonstrate safety compliance and maintain yard security.
• Ensure trailers are secured at end of shift and follow truck gate security guidelines.

The Ideal candidate will have or be able to complete the below qualifications.

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience: Yard spotting truck driving experience preferred.
