Job Description

As a Yard Laborer, you will perform a variety of different tasks including loading, unloading, and management of materials in our Fredericktown location that support the successful operation of our projects.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and help manage different materials that support our construction projects.
• Operate Cat, Case, or Hyster forklifts of various sizes.
• Receive requests and pull orders for the field in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform tasks involving the use of hands and tools.
• Moving material from storage yards within the Fredericktown area.
• Properly secure equipment and materials for transport.
  
  

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  
  

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Good communication skills
• Good driving record with valid driver's license
• Load securement knowledge
• Ability to work independently or in a group
• Able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at heights as required. (Must be physically able to perform work tasks)
• Lift and carry objects weighting 50-70 pound
• Follow specific directions
• Stand and walk for long periods
• Read and understand measuring tools
• Perform other routine duties as directed by supervisor
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions/all seasons
