BC Wood Products is the largest industrial manufacturer of custom wooden pallets and crates in Virginia. We lead the market in providing customizable solutions to our customers needs. Our equipment and personnel are constantly evolving and developing safe and efficient procedures to surpass customers expectations in both price and quality.

BC Wood Products Logistics team is growing, and we are looking for aCDL Class A Driver at our Richmond, Virginia location. The perfect candidate would have a proven record of driving safely, meeting route requirements, and ultimately finishing the day safe, sound, and at home.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: Starting at $23/hr

Monday-Friday 6 a.m. - 5p.m. w/ OT available on weekends

** Mostly on-site work in Ashland, and back-up driver forlocal deliveries!

** 2 weeks paid vacation after probationary period. More vacation earned with time at company.

Skills:

• 1–2 years of proven experience as a truck driver.
• Responsible and able to self-manage and be self-motivated.
• Extensive knowledge of truck driving policies and regulations.
• Analytics and problem-solving skills, including the ability to adapt to shifting situations and timeliness under stress.
• Truckbed strapping experience.

Responsibilities:

• Move trucks and trailers around the yard.
• Transport quality wood products to BC Wood Products clients on occassion.
• Safely and efficiently operatetrucks, and meet delivery schedules when necessary by planning productive routes.
• Comply with company policies and Class A truck driving regulations by adhering to size, weight, and route designations.
• Properly document miles and work/rest time and retainall fuel and toll receipts.

Requirements :

• Clean driving record and Class A CDL license.
• Current MVR –within the last 30 days.
• Pre-employment and random drug testing.
• Experience with Automatic and Manual Transmissions (10 Speed Manual).
• Flat Bed's will be used in 80% of deliveries.

The company is located on a nine-acre lot at the Lewistown Road exit along the I-95 corridor between Ashland and Richmond. This location on I-95 allows for quick and reliable delivery of high quality, custom wood products to the Mid-Atlantic region and nationwide. The company's passion for quality lumber is evident in its three manufacturing facilities, six storage buildings, and furniture on-site, all built from their inventory of heat-treated wood.





With operations open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, BCWP stores approximately a three-month supply of raw materials. The company has never experienced a shortage of raw materials even through hurricanes and major snowstorms.





BCWP is owned by its on-site management with fifteen years of service with the company. This active ownership means keen attention to detail and service, so their clients never need to worry about being heard or getting a timely response.
