Job summary

Mead Lumber Company is seeking a delivery driver to transport merchandise to customer jobsites and unload it as needed. You will load and unload trucks, stock the yard, and ensure accurate returns processing while maintaining safe vehicle operation.

Qualified candidates will have a valid driver's license, ability to operate a forklift and a manual transmission, and a motivation to grow with the company in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Desire to learn and grow professionally.
• Self-motivated and productive.
• Physical strength to lift and carry 75 pounds consistently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver merchandise to customer jobsites and unload to the customer’s satisfaction.
• Help load and unload trucks and put merchandise away.
• Maintain safe operation of the vehicle and perform basic yard cleanup.
• Accurately record merchandise returns on a credit memo.
• Work with customers to meet their needs and ensure satisfaction.

Job Summary: Primary responsibility is to drive company vehicles to deliver merchandise to customer jobsites and physically unload the materials to the customer's satisfaction. Help load and unload trucks, put merchandise away, clean up yard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
• Load trucks according to the list of materials on the sales invoice.
• Delivers and unloads materials to customer’s satisfaction and on a timely basis.
• Maintain inspection of each vehicle you drive for safe driving.
• Accurately record all merchandise returns on a credit memo.
• Listen and work with customers to solve customer needs.

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record. CDL is a plus!
• Must be able to operate a forklift.
