Mead Lumber Company in Manhattan, KS is seeking a reliable delivery driver to transport and unload merchandise at customer jobsites, load trucks, and keep yards organized.

You will operate company vehicles, maintain safety inspections, and provide friendly, hands-on service to customers while meeting delivery schedules.

This role emphasizes physical stamina, a clean driving record, and a willingness to learn; CDL is a plus and ESOP participation awaits eligible employees.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Drive company vehicles to deliver merchandise to customer jobsites.

• Record returns on credit memos and assist customers.
• Provide friendly service and solve customer needs.

Job Summary:

Primary responsibility is to drive company vehicles to deliver merchandise to customer jobsites and physically unload the materials to the customer's satisfaction. Help load and unload trucks, put merchandise away, clean up yard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
• Load trucks according to the list of materials on the sales invoice.
• Delivers and unloads materials to customer’s satisfaction and on a timely basis.
• Maintain inspection of each vehicle you drive for safe driving.
• Accurately record all merchandise returns on a credit memo.
• Listen and work with customers to solve customer needs.

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• CDL is a plus.
• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Desire to learn and grow professionally.
• Be self-motivated and productive.
• Physical strength to lift and carry 75 pounds consistently.
