Job summary

EJ has an immediate opening for a Material Handler in Columbus, OH. You will support the warehouse by moving materials, loading and unloading, and operating a forklift.

The position offers $22–$25 per hour and a generous benefits package including paid vacation and holidays, 401(k) with match, medical/dental/vision, FSA/HSA, disability and life insurance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY

Supports and assists the sales function by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures.
• Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets and trucks by hand or forklift. Installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Lifts heavy objects by hand or with forklift, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment.
• Operates forklift to assist in loading/unloading or moving materials and products.
• Works an 8-hour shift with 30 min. lunch break.
• Back-up non-DOT truck driver for local deliveries.
