Job summary

EJ has an immediate opening for a Welder on our second shift (Mon–Fri, 3:15 PM to 12 AM) in Phoenix, NY. Wields arc and gas welding to fabricate and repair components per blueprints and work orders, with pay ranging from $25.25 to $27.25 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of related experience.
• Able to read a tape measure and blueprints.
• Able to lift to 50 pounds repetitively throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Joins surface, fabricates, or repairs parts of metal or other weldable materials, applying appropriate welding processes.
• Performs duties as per work orders, blueprints, sketches, or charts.
• Lies out and marks weld points on parts or subassemblies using ruler, square, scribe, or templates.
• Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps.
• Inspects complete work for conformance to specifications.

SUMMARY

Welds metal components together with a variety of arc and gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair products such as hand box frames and covers, beams, grating and other miscellaneous products by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Joins surface, fabricates, or repairs parts of metal or other weldable materials, applying the appropriate welding processes
• Performs duties specified by work orders, blueprints, sketches, or charts
• Lies out and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies using rule, square, scribe, or templates
• Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools
• Inspects complete work for conformance to specifications
• Interacts with team members from different departments to ensure highest quality of the production process performs all work with adherence to safety procedures
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
