Job summary

Swenson Granite Works in Westbrook, ME, is seeking a Yard Foreman to manage the retail yard for granite and natural stone products. This is a permanent full-time role with a starting pay rate of $23.00 per hour.

You will load and unload materials with a forklift, assist customers, and coordinate with the Assistant Manager to keep the yard organized while ensuring forklifts are in good working condition. Schedule: Mon–Fri with seasonal half-day Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to assist customers and guide toward management.

Responsibilities

Swenson Granite Workscurrently has an opening for aYard Foreman in ourretail storeat ourWestbrook, MElocation. We are in the business of retail and contractor sales of granite and natural stone products used for masonry, landscaping, and building work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading materials using a forklift.
• Assist customers in loading their vehicles and answer basic questions and guide them to a member of management to finalize sales.
• Collaborate with Assistant Manager and Customer Support Associate to ensure, maintained and organized the yard.
• Follow the work standards, rules, methods, and procedures (quality, efficiency, and health & safety).
• Ensure that all forklifts are running and in proper working conditions.
• Any other duties as may be assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and frequently required to walk the yard.

Lifting or moving up to 40lbs frequently and 50lbs on occasion.

Requirement:

• Forklift experience is preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Employment status: Permanent / Full-time.
• Starting pay rate $23.00, based on experience.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday and half day on Saturday seasonally.
