Job summary

Canam Steel Corporation is seeking self-motivated, safety‑conscious candidates to join the production team. The Yard Equipment Operator will safely move, load, and unload materials using forklifts and other equipment in a manufacturing setting.

Expect $21.00/hour base with production bonuses and overtime potential, with total compensation around the published range. Responsibilities include loading joists/girders, assisting with in-shop material handling, yard layout, maintaining organization,

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Forklift certification preferred or required where applicable.
• Ability to read loading requisitions and follow instructions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Load, rig steel joists and girders on trailers as assigned.
• Assist with loading and unloading material in shop as needed.
• Assist with steel joist bundles and yard layout as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety protocols.
• Work regular or flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as required.
