Job summary

JCPenney is seeking a Warehouse - Yard Driver to support yard operations at our facility. The role involves auditing trailer numbers, coordinating movements via radio, and using Yard Management Software to track assets and dock activity.

Responsibilities include operating in line with safety standards and DOT regulations, maintaining logs, and performing trailer pulls/spots for loading and unloading while supporting other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow general oral and/or written instructions.
• Valid license(s) as dictated by law.
• Knowledge of principles and methods of moving trailers by road or in confined areas.
• Extensive yard driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audits for proper trailer numbers.
• Utilizes and updates Yard Management Software.
• Communicates via radio to dock loading and unloading areas.
• Operates and maintains vehicle in accordance with prescribed safety standards and DOT regulations, if applicable.
• Completes manual logs relative to yard verifications.
• Maintains proper Seal Control procedures.
• Pulls and spots trailers for the purposes of loading and unloading.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
