Tyson Foods in Humboldt, IA is hiring a Yard Driver for the 2nd shift to transport and dock trailers at the Receiving dock, aiding in efficient yard operations.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain yard truck cleanliness, and complete required logs while following Tyson safety policies. A valid driver's license and clean MVR are required, with background checks as applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have a clear Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and pass the MVR Records check.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must not have any DUI/DWI convictions within the last 12 months.
• 180 days wait period from last termination date.
• 3X rule (candidates cannot have worked for Tyson 3X before).

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for operating trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Job Description

This position is responsible for transporting trailers across the yard and docking/undocking trailers as necessary for the operation of the Receiving dock.

Job Synopsis

The Yard Driver retrieves the full trailers on in-bound product and delivers them to the Receiving dock. The driver will also remove and stage full trailers for outbound Routes shipment.

Duties

• Responsible for ensuring the truck yard stays free of debris and trash.
• Will be responsible for pre-trip inspections on the Yard trucks and ensure any defects are reported to your supervisor immediately for repair.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the yard trucks daily.
• Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high-pressure hose.
• Complete required logs
• Will be responsible to ensure that "Safety" while operating a yard truck is top priority.
