McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a Yard Driver to support trailer movement at the distribution center and assist with trailer preparation for shipping. You will monitor trailer status and help ensure timely, safe deliveries.

Qualifications

• Require Class A CDL and accident-free driving record preferred.
• Two years of related driving experience desired.
• 100,000-mile tractor-trailer experience desired.
• Must read and understand labels, instructions, and bill of lading.
• Ability to perform basic math to verify quantities.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor, connect trailer, and secure lines.
• Clean and spot trailers to doors or lot locations.
• Inspect trailers and submit pre/post-trip reports.
• Inspect loaded trailers for product security and refrigeration unit operation.
• Drive within yard and short road segments according to regulations.
• Meet the physical demands of the position.
• Load/unload and deliver products as ordered by customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
