Job summary

Tempur Sealy International is hiring for a CDL A driver to handle local deliveries and fleet duties. You will perform daily inspections, complete logs, and coordinate with shipping to move trailers. A clean driving record and interstate experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL and a clean driving record.
• 12+ months of verifiable interstate tractor-trailer experience in the previous 3 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: experience with electronic logbooks and basic fleet tech.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle inspections and complete all log books and paperwork.
• Coordinate between Transportation and Shipping to move trailers as needed.
• Load and unload customer and/or vehicles as required.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine maintenance as directed.
• Deliver local shipments and support DOT safety compliance as needed.

PAY RATE: $27.39/hour

What you’ll do:

• General vehicle maintenance on assigned vehicle
• Complete all log books and other paperwork
• Perform daily vehicle inspections
• Coordinate between Transportation and Shipping departments to move trailers as needed
• Report vehicle maintenance and necessities to appropriate management
• Load and unload customer and/or vehicles as required
• Maintains and cleans vehicle and assigned work area
• Material handling
• Conform to all DOT safety regulations
• Perform local deliveries, as needed
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

What you’ll need:

• Possess a current and valid Class A CDL.
• Safe driving record with no more than one accident or moving violation within the previous 12 months from date of hire.
• 12+ months of verifiable driving experience (defined as interstate operation of a Class A combination vehicle/tractor trailer) within the previous three years.
• At least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with electronic, on-board recordkeeping systems.
• Previous experience working in customer facing roles.
