Roadrunner Transportation Systems Inc is hiring a DOT Hostler in Mira Loma, CA to move trailers and freight with precision, support loading, staging, and dock flow, and help maintain a safe yard.

Qualifications include a valid CDL with clean driving record, ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen, and a High school diploma or GED. Forklift and hazardous materials training are a plus. Competitive hourly wage and full benefits available onsite.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with a clean driving record meeting DOT standards.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening.
• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months of related experience.
• Proven ability to safely operate forklifts and industrial equipment.
• Hazardous Materials training and certification.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and compliance requirements.
• Ability to read safety rules, manuals, and operational instructions.
• Good math and basic arithmetic; effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Shuttle trailers across dock doors, staging areas, and parking lots.
• Interpret work orders to prioritize trailer movements in real time.
• Ensure accurate placement of equipment to support loading schedules.
• Load, unload, and transport freight using forklifts and hoists.
• Move materials between dock areas with precision and care.
• Maintain safety, compliance, and equipment integrity per DOT standards.
• Support dock supervisors and maintain smooth yard flow.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve productivity.
