Job summary

TopSide Marinas is seeking an energetic Yard Crew member to perform dockside maintenance, boat lifting, and basic repairs at our Wisconsin marinas. You will work 5 days a week, 8 hours daily, with seasonal schedule changes as needed to meet customer demand and safety standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. Experience in maintenance is preferred and teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate lift trucks, hydraulic trailers, travel lift hoist, aerial lift, and work boat.

• Use hand tools and small power tools.

The Yard Crew’s responsibility is to perform the duties below on a regular basis and meet customer satisfaction standards as well as company performance and safety requirements. This position requires the team member to work 5 days per week and 8 hours per day. Seasonal schedule changes may take place at management discretion.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate lift trucks, hydraulic trailers, travel lift hoist, arial lift, and work boat
• Perform minor carpentry and painting on an as-needed basis
• Perform some mechanical repairs on company equipment
• Move and launch boats, checking and safely securing boats moored at the docks
• Proficiency in using hand tools and small power tools
• Demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving skills and abilities
• Perform other duties as assigned or apparent

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

• Act with the highest level of integrity and maintain a positive attitude
• High school diploma required
• Valid drivers license required
• Experience in the performance of jobs related to maintenance and repair is preferred
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job (see below)
• Must be able to complete assigned work in an efficient and timely manner
• Strong work ethic and personal commitment
• Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team, department, and company goals
• Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs
• Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions such as heat, rain, cold or snow
• Ability to work comfortably around water
• Ability to work in tight spaces
• Ability to work at heights of up to 30 feet
• Stand, sit, walk, push, pull, climb, crawl, bend, kneel, squat, twist, reach, grasp
