Job summary

TopSide Marinas is seeking a dependable Yard Crew member for a seasonal role from October 1 to November 15, with a potential transition to a permanent position. The job requires working 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, and performing dockside maintenance and safety-focused tasks.

Responsibilities include powerwashing boats, moving blocks and stands, launching boats, and assisting with general upkeep while meeting customer satisfaction and company standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance and repair is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team, department, and company goals.

The Yard Crew’s responsibility is to perform the duties below on a regular basis and meet customer satisfaction standards as well as company performance and safety requirements. This is a seasonal position October 1 - November 15 with possibility of transitioning to a permanent position. This position requires the team member to work 5 days per week and 8 hours per day.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Powerwashing bottom of boats
• Moving boat blocks and stands
• Moving and launching boats, checking and safely securing boats moored at the docks
• Demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving skills and abilities
• Perform other duties as assigned or apparent

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

• Act with the highest level of integrity and maintain a positive attitude
• High school diploma required
• Experience in the performance of jobs related to maintenance and repair is preferred
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job (see below)
• Must be able to complete assigned work in an efficient and timely manner
• Strong work ethic and personal commitment

• Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs
• Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions such as heat, rain, cold or snow
• Ability to work comfortably around water
• Ability to work in tight spaces
• Ability to work at heights of up to 30 feet
• Stand, sit, walk, push, pull, climb, crawl, bend, kneel, squat, twist, reach, grasp
