Job summary

TopSide Marinas is seeking a Yard Crew member to support marina operations. The role involves operating lift equipment, assisting with boat movement, and performing routine maintenance and small repairs to keep vessels and facilities safe and seaworthy.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. This is a full-time, on-site position with a strong emphasis on teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate lift trucks, hydraulic trailers, travel lift hoist, aerial lift, and boats.
• Perform minor carpentry and painting as needed.
• Perform some mechanical repairs on equipment.
• Move and launch boats and secure moorings at docks.
• Use hand tools and small power tools proficiently.
• Demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving abilities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

The Yard Crew’s responsibility is to perform the duties below on a regular basis and meet customer satisfaction standards as well as company performance and safety requirements. This position requires the team member to work 5 days per week and 8 hours per day. Seasonal schedule changes may take place at management discretion.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate lift trucks, hydraulic trailers, travel lift hoist, arial lift, and work boat
• Perform minor carpentry and painting on an as-needed basis
• Perform some mechanical repairs on company equipment
• Move and launch boats, checking and safely securing boats moored at the docks
• Proficiency in using hand tools and small power tools
• Demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving skills and abilities
• Perform other duties as assigned or apparent

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

• Act with the highest level of integrity and maintain a positive attitude
• High school diploma required
• Valid drivers license required
• Experience in the performance of jobs related to maintenance and repair is preferred
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job (see below)
• Must be able to complete assigned work in an efficient and timely manner

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs
