Job summary

TAK Broadband in Sacramento, CA is hiring a Yard Associate to maintain the shipping and receiving yard, track inventory, and support technicians with equipment and parts. This role emphasizes organized warehousing and accurate records.

You'll work full-time, Monday through Friday 7am–4pm with occasional Saturdays, and receive a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k) with company match, and life insurance. DOE compensation ranges from $20 to $25 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in broadband, telecommunications, supply yard, warehouse or related experience required.
• Ability to operate box truck and forklift.
• Ability to work rotating Saturday schedule.
• Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75lbs; work indoors, outdoors, and in tight spaces.

We are seeking a Yard Associate to join our team in Sacramento, CA. In this role you will be responsible for tending to the shipping and receiving yard of equipment and materials, ensuring that things stay organized and inventory is tracked and accounted for.

The Role

• Track and maintains inventory for all equipment & parts, keeping items locked and organized
• Maintain warehouse, ensuring it remains cleaned and organized
• Place orders and manage intake of deliveries, stocking shelves
• Issue/return equipment to technicians on a daily and weekly basis
• Complete a daily reconciliation of technician equipment levels
• Participate in company vehicle management: clean and detail vehicles, deliver vehicles requiring repair to the repair shop
• Assign uniforms, tools, and safety gear to all technicians; ensuring invoices are signed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 1+ years in broadband, telecommunications, supply yard, warehouse or related experience required
• Ability to operate both a box truck and forklift
• Ability to work a rotating Saturday schedule
• Ability to operate a pallet jack and certified forklift operator preferred
• Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
• Ability to work independently
• Strong desire to grow and develop team members
• Ability to complete work indoors, outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time
• Ability to safely navigate various terrains, managing equipment and tools
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75lbs
• Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving
• Must be able to drive a 3/4-ton truck or larger, Class A Commercial Driver's License a plus
• Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
