Job summary

TAK Broadband in Houston, TX is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to keep the warehouse clean, organized, and inventory tracked. You will manage intake, stock shelves, and ensure that equipment and parts are stored securely and readily available for field teams.

The role offers full-time hours with weekly pay and a benefits package including medical, dental & vision, PTO, 401(k) with company match, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of warehouse experience required.
• Experience in telecommunications a plus.
• Ability to work a rotating Saturday schedule.
• Forklift operation experience or certification preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel.
• Strong customer service, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and build relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
• Track and maintain inventory for all equipment and parts.
• Place orders and manage receipt of deliveries.
• Issue/return equipment to technicians daily and weekly.
• Reconcile equipment levels on a daily basis.
• Assist in vehicle management, including cleaning and job site transport.
• Assign uniforms, tools and safety gear; ensure invoices are signed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Houston, TX. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that the warehouse remains cleaned, organized and inventory is tracked and organized.

The Role

• Maintain warehouse, ensuring it remains cleaned and organized
• Track and maintain inventory for all equipment & parts, keeping items locked and organized
• Place orders and manage intake of deliveries, stocking shelves
• Issue/return equipment to Technician’s on a daily and weekly basis
• Complete a daily reconciliation of technician equipment levels
• Participate in company vehicle management: clean and detail vehicles, deliver vehicles requiring repair to the repair shop
• Assign uniforms, tools, and safety gear to all technicians; ensuring invoices are signed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 1+ years of warehouse experience required
• Experience working in telecommunications a plus
• Ability to work a rotating Saturday schedule
• Ability to operate a pallet jack and certified forklift operator preferred
• Experience working with Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook and Excel a plus
• Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to complete work indoors, outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time
• Ability to safely navigate various terrains, managing equipment and tools
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs on occasion
• Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving
• Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
