Qualifications

  • Experience in overhead construction for RF and Fiber
  • Extensive knowledge of RF and Fiber network architecture, design, and bill of materials
  • Ability to read maps, drawings, schematics, and project documentation
  • Knowledge of applicable city, county, and state clearance codes
  • Comfortable working physically, including lifting up to 70 lbs
  • Willingness to follow safety procedures and NE SC guidelines
  • Holds required field certifications (e.g., climbing, Flagger)
  • Effective verbal, written, and phone communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform trenching, site preparation, conduit placement, and general construction support
  • Assist with fiber installation activities including fiber blowing, pulling, and relocating RF and fiber services
  • Support aerial and underground crews and troubleshoot RF and fiber issues
  • Operate vehicles and equipment and assist with setup such as reel trailers, line trucks, bucket trucks, saws, and drills
  • Read maps and project diagrams and learn inventory and materials for each build
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment on every job site
  • Other duties as assigned

We are seeking a Laborer to join our team in Fairfield, CA. In this role you will support both aerial and underground telecom construction by performing hands‑on tasks such as trenching, conduit placement, material handling, and fiber installation. You will assist with fiber blowing, basic troubleshooting, and equipment operation while learning to read maps, schematics, and network designs. The Role
  • Perform a variety of manual labor tasks including trenching, site preparation, conduit placement, and general construction support using standard hand tools
  • Assist with fiber installation activities such as fiber blowing, pulling, and relocating RF and fiber services, as well as constructing and repairing underground fiber and RF lines
  • Support aerial and underground crews as trained, including basic troubleshooting of RF and fiber issues
  • Operate vehicles, trailers, and equipment as certified, and assist with equipment setup such as reel trailers, line trucks, bucket trucks, saws, and drills
  • Handle material movement, job site cleanup, and routine maintenance tasks as directed
  • Read maps, design schematics, and project diagrams, and learn required inventory and materials for each build
  • Follow all safety procedures, adhere to NESC guidelines, and maintain a safe work environment on every job site
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Practical experience in overhead construction for RF and Fiber
  • Extensive knowledge of RF and Fiber network architecture, design, and bill of materials
  • Ability to read and interpret maps, drawings, schematics, and other project documentation
  • Knowledge of applicable city, county, and state clearance codes
  • Comfortable working directly with field crews and performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 70 lbs
  • Ability to solve complex field problems with a hands‑on approach
  • Holds required field certifications (e.g., climbing, Flagger)
  • Effective verbal, written, and phone communication skills
  • Able to perform well in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
  • Ability to follow daily commitment to safety
  • Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving
  • Passing of all pre‑employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
