Job summary

Gillen Yacht Services is seeking a skilled Machinist/Welder to join our yacht refit and repair team. The candidate should be proficient with aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel, and capable of designing and fabricating mounting brackets.

Reading prints and drawings, machine shop work, and independent task execution are essential. Ideal applicants will have TIG, MIG, and Stick welding experience, plus familiarity with Plasma Cutter, Lathe, Milling Machine, and stainless steel finishing.

Qualifications

• Experience with aluminum, stainless steel and carbon steel.
• Ability to design and fabricate parts like mounting brackets.
• Ability to read prints and drawings.
• Machine shop skills and the ability to work independently.
• Must have personal tools required to perform job duties.
• Experience with TIG, MIG, and Stick welding.
• Proficiency with Plasma Cutter, Lathe and Milling Machine.
• Fit, finish and polish stainless steel; Braising.
