Location: Dayton, OH 45420, USA (Orthopaedic Institute of Dayton)

Position Summary

Responsible for assisting physicians in patient care, performing all necessary x-rays with high quality, escorting patients, managing supplies, maintaining records, and performing general medical assistant functions such as history and physicals, communication, and room cleaning. Handles physician messages.

Responsibilities
  • Attend meetings and demonstrate sound judgment
  • Work positively and cooperatively with staff
  • Respond flexibly to changing needs
  • Complete required training and adhere to policies
  • Document accurately and maintain safety standards
Specific Duties
  • Escort patients, prepare for x-ray, perform x-rays and C-ARM procedures
  • Document procedures, communicate with staff, ensure equipment maintenance
  • Order supplies, manage patient questions, complete EMR intake
  • Review H&P, assist with medical procedures, code procedures and diagnoses
  • Manage messages, ensure OSHA compliance, file records, dispose of medications
  • Coordinate outpatient testing and prepare exam rooms
Additional and Other Duties
  • Travel to satellite offices, assist with scheduling, and support follow-up care
Qualifications
  • Must hold ARRT and Ohio Radiography license
Physical Requirements

Must be able to hear, see, stand, sit, walk, reach, handle objects, and lift up to 50 lbs.
