Job summary

Omnicell is seeking an Automation Pharmacy Technician 4 to support the XR2 robotic pharmacy automation system at our Palo Alto site. You will help hospitals optimize medication inventory, improve operational efficiency, and enhance patient care by working with clinical staff and technology.

The role requires CA pharmacy technician licensure, national certification, and familiarity with pharmacy automation. Expect hands-on maintenance, documentation, training, and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
CA State Pharmacy Technician Registration/License (where required).
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB, CPhT, or ExCPT).
Working knowledge or familiarity with pharmacy automation.

Responsibilities

Operate, monitor, and maintain Omnicell XR2 automation systems.
Manage medication inventory, including restocking, returns, and formulary optimization.
Perform routine equipment inspections, cleaning, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
Monitor system performance and escalate unresolved technical issues.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Partner with pharmacy staff to support efficient workflows and customer service.
Train users on system functionality and best practices.
Serve as a resource for customers and team members.
Maintain required pharmacy technician certifications and licenses.
