Job summary

Omnicell, Inc. is seeking a PRN Automation Pharmacy Technician 4 (On Call) to support XR2 automation at hospital sites in PA. This role handles call-outs, PTOs, LOAs, and peak operational needs, ensuring safe, efficient medication automation that lets pharmacy teams focus on patient care.

Opportunity to gain advanced automation experience, with potential for full-time roles in the future. On-site work at Allentown and/or Bethlehem, PA; hours are PRN and may extend beyond typical shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Active State Board of Pharmacy Technician License/Registration for the state of PA (as required by state).
• Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB / CPhT / EXCPT).
• Working knowledge of pharmacy automation.
• COVID-19 Vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support Omnicell XR2 automation in accordance with SOPs and best practices.
• Manage medication inventory, restocking, returns, and formulary accuracy.
• Perform routine equipment inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Monitor system performance and elevate unresolved issues to TAC or the appropriate helpdesk.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with Pharmacy Services policies.
• Communicate proactively with pharmacy leadership and customers to resolve issues.
• Serve as a subject matter resource for Omnicell team members as needed.
• Participate in training and maintain all required certifications and credentials.
